ASK was selected from a growing number of Supplier Diversity W/MBE’S, currently doing business with Giant & Martins, who connected through the Department of Supplier Diversity. The vendor of the month is selected for excellence in a number of criteria, including, but not limited too; sales potential, commitment to marketing and growth, capacity building, including resourceful use all the marketing instruments available, demo programs and promotional events, positive contributions to our communities, through the products they make available, as well through its charitable contributions, and service to the communities that Giant Foods and ASK mutually serves.

A.S.K. Foods, Inc started 60 years ago in the small Lebanon County Town of Palmyra, PA. The founders of A.S.K., Abraham Shelly Kettering and Robert B. DiMatteo entered the food distribution business in 1948. Sensing a need for quality deli products, Kettering and DiMatteo began to manufacture their first items in the late 1950's. In 1978, the A.S. Kettering company incorporated under the official title of A.S.K. Foods, Inc. ASK Foods, Inc remains a privately held company in its third generation, with Wendie DiMatteo serving as Chief Executive Officer.

In the Prepared Foods industry, A.S.K. Foods enjoys a reputation for being a customer-oriented company, while providing top quality products. A.S.K. Foods begins with the freshest, natural ingredients, adding creative design and preparation, and delivering consistently high quality products. A.S.K. Foods Inc. produces delightful Deli Salads, creative Entrees and Sides dishes and luscious Desserts. A.S.K. Foods continues to be one of the few companies to produce all natural, no preservatives added, and no MSG added prepared foods. A.S.K. Foods Inc. has 2 USDA plants, employs over 205 employees, and distributes product to 22 states. A.S.K. Foods is a WBE member as well as a Pennsylvania Preferred member. ASK is located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch country, near Hershey PA, Chocolate Town, USA.
